Core Logic released the August numbers over last year and reported the home price index. As anticipated and as we have been discussing to our sellers and buyers, prices are increasing and the inventory remains at about four months in the Miami area. A healthy supply of homes is considered 6 months. With constricted inventory, and no shortage of demand in sight, we predict home prices will continue to increase well into the high season in South Florida.   • Home Prices rose 14.5% from August 2012
  • Prices Increased by 1.4% from July 2013
  • Miami and Miami Beach grew 17.6%, excluding distressed properties
  • Miami and Miami Beach grew by 2.3% from July 2013
  • Across Florida including distressed homes, prices increased by 12.7%
